The need for a trial renewal has been growing, and has been requested and debated for a long time. Things that were accepted before is no longer considered progressive, entertaining, or desired within the trials. The juggling era lasted for almost a decade, and has fallen under question lately by many concers. The use of grenades for soldiers has been considered a less skillful way of rocket jumping.
So, after a lot of progression of TFC skills in general and Euroskillz in particular, we needed to move up the evolutionary ladder. Therefore we present the next phase in natural selection, a new set of trials that leaves Charles "wubwub" Darwin quivering in excitement. Without further ado...

- 21 DemosFirst off the starting blocks is the new easy conc trial, and it has had a facelift! In the place of the old cluster of maps is the modern classic and player favourite concmap_eze by Euroskillz' own Renegade. Also, the conc_speed speedrun has had two minutes robbed from the previous ten minute allowance as it was deemed a little too lax for today's modern concer!

- 32 DemosThe medium conc trial had a lot of filler, so it has been pruned back to the stems. The speedrun has had a minute knocked off (six minutes allowed for far too many mistakes!), and the trial features a new map in the form of concmap_ezm by Renegade. Two new trials, two new Renegade maps - conspiracy?! It has been chosen as it proves that the trialist can handle a little bit of everything - strafes, juggles, an introduction to precision - and will set you well on your way to hC!

- 26 Demos (In stage one)Well well well, the first of the new hard trials. The old hC was a juggle utopia, with restocks as far as the eye could see and infinite stalling flowing on every jump. Well no longer!
There is now a healthy dose of precision concing (a fundamental skill for today's elite concer!) in the form of the gorgeous poke_prec and conc_what.
The juggles that have been included are from concmap_liar, an underplayed gem that even has a mini-marathon in the form of jump three, and conc_kaiser, a map that in many places requires the player use the minimum number of concs to proceed. This is a no stalling zone!
conc_sanitarium fills the "juggle-prec" requirement, and with infinite concs at your disposal, you may be fooled into thinking you can get away with a little cheeky stall here or there - see how far that gets you!
Lastly, there is now a speedrun in the form of concmap_flz in six minutes, designed to show that you can beat Speedy Gonzalez in a footrace and get your concs in gear if need be!

- 20 DemosOur easy soldiers have to buy some new running shoes, as one minute has been shaved off the allowed time for the conc_speed speedrun! quad_rocket remains a magnificent way to establish your budding grasp of the rocket propelled grenades, and has a new partner in crime in the form of conc_hemm, a nifty little foray into some different techniques.

- 31 DemosUnbind your grenade key - mS has gone nn! Designed to better equip players to deal with hS, the new trial should hone your nn juggling skills and even get you doing a little bit of prec in the form of conc_sklz.
The speedrun on conc_strafe2 has had a minute added as a trade-off for losing the ability to use grenades, and there's no more jump-linking on conc_groove2 - but the normal team should still test your juggling skills! More technical juggles can be found in the form of quad_rocket2 (no more grenades on Jump 7!) and concmap_knk5. This should definitely prove you are well on your way to being a top rocketeer!

- 22 Demos (In stage one)Everyone's favourite FPS-killing companion conc_spyder has hit the road, never to be seen again. So too has conc_damned, deemed far too easy for today's top flight of rocketeers. In their place is the wide-open-yet-squashed quad_mueh, which will hopefully get you thinking about where your next rocket is going!
precision_concing has lost some weight and now only features jumps 7 & 8, and sits in precision country alongside new arrival void_crusher. Between some tight spots, some holes and a teleport, it'll send you towards the secret part prepared to tackle anything you may encounter!
Last (but absolutely not least!) up is conc_sanitarium, a long time favourite (!) in the hS trial, it still remains the last resting place of many a juggler who has tried to tame its wicked ways...

- 37 DemosThe previous mP trial didn't require you to learn how to wallpipe at all (wubwub would know!) and didn't make sure you were growing into a well-rounded piper. So we dropped a nuke on it. The new trial is designed to encourage you to learn how to juggle properly, learn how to face your demons (holes! sloped floors! water!) and become your training regime to work your way up the piping ladder.
Standing tall amongst the rubble of what once was, conc_groove2 will still see if you have hair on your chest and make sure you've got juggling blood running through your veins. Easy-yet-not, it's there to show you don't back down from juggles, no matter how long they may seem at first!
A fresh face to the trial - Euroskillz' favourite map - concmap_eu (by Renegade...!) has a little bit of everything that will establish you as a potential heavyweight champion. There's climbs, drops, holes, water, itsy bitsy tight bits, big open vast bits, flat floors, sloped floors, no floors, it's all in there. Hopefully, it will brace you for the impact of the completely reworked hP trial, and send you off to face the demons within fully prepared with all the tools you need in your arsenal!

- 26 Demos (In stage one)As the Mad Hatter says, all change! Much like the old mS trial, the old hP was all over the shop - do this jump from here and that jump from there - it was all a bit confusing, a bit dreary (do you
really want to pipe concmap_trojan jump 4?!) and ultimately, not very hard at all. Again, wallpiping was not a requirement, and people were finishing hP without so much as breaking a sweat - not something that could have been said about hC or hS - thus it had to be brought onto the same level as the other hard trials, and become a true achievement to be proud of.
This in mind, let's see what's in store for our (now quivering in fear) potential applicants. conc_mueh2 is a real love-or-hate map, and with some devilishly tight squeezes, will test your precision placement of pipes. The other three maps have a little bit of everything included in each.
ez_quad has some big ol' juggles to spiritually replace concmap_trojan (you're not out of the woods yet!), some holes to give you a headache and the occasional sneaky tight bit to catch you off guard. conc_ez will make sure you never floorpipe again, offering up sloped floors galore, water, and a bunch of holes just to seal the deal.
concmap_rise is home to Kevin Costner and should more realistically be called Waterworld. Just to make sure you stop looking down and love the wallpipe, it comes complete with irritatingly small holes designed to send you loopy and become one with your pipes.

It is also worth mentioning that anyone who has been making good progress on one of the old trials should speak to a leader about their options, I know of one nameless individual who is one secret jump away from hC as this is being written, and he would be quite heartbroken if he had to re-do the new content, I'm sure! Exceptions can be made, just get in touch with one of us and we can talk it out.
